Raven Rock Trail
Named for Raven Rock, a cliff on the opposing side of the river.
Description:
The trail is actually an old roadbed that has been closed, though it is still used occasionally. It sidles up to Daniel Creek, then turns to a campsite, complete with a firepit.
The hike ends in an area with small sandy beaches, vantage points for watching rafters, and, of course, a beautiful view of Raven Rock.
Unless you own a Jeep, pickup, or other four-wheel-drive vehicle, you should plan to walk the extra easy mile on the dirt road leading up to the trail.
