North Old Mac Mountain Trail
Hiking trail in Frozen Head State Park
Description:
The trail leads hikers along Old North Mac Mountain to the lookout tower at the peak of Frozen Head Mountain. The tower provides beautiful panoramic views in all directions, and the path is peaceful, winding along ridges and streams.
The trail is not a loop, but hikers may choose to take the South Old Mac Mountain Trail when returning to the parking lot, rather than retracing their steps on the north trail. The south trail is approximately one mile shorter than the north trail.
