Piney River Trail
Hiking trail along Duskin Creek and Piney River
Description:
The fairly easy trail can be hiked from either end: from Newby Forest Camp or the picnic area on Shut-in Gap Road. It is recommended to hike from the camp to the picnic area, as the hike is downhill in that direction.
Several suspension bridges are located along the trail, with the largest measuring just over 100 feet high. There are also some large swimming holes along the hike that are great spots to cool off.
