Description:
The 33-mile section of the Foothills Trail runs along South Carolina’s northern border from near Duke Power’s Bad Creek Hydroelectric Station to Oconee State Park. The trail is pretty much the same difficulty when hiked in either direction, and crosses into North Carolina a couple of times.
The trail runs along the Whitewater and Chattooga Rivers for the majority of the three-day hike, and can be summed up as a beautiful trail with many scenic views.
