Turkey Creek Trail

Peaceful creekside trail

Description:

Parking is available at both ends of the trail; here it is described from the lot off of SC Highway 283. Key Bridge, which is located halfway into the hike off Highways 227 and 68, also has a parking lot. It is recommended to wear pants on this trail, as the middle portion has some really thick vegetation.

The trail begins by following Wine Creek for 2 miles to its split from Turkey Creek, then on bluffs and ravines along Turkey Creek to Stevens Creek, and Stevens Creek to the ending trailhead. For the last mile or so of the hike, make sure you don’t accidentally leave the main trail and follow one of the many beaver trails.
