Allatoona Pass
Follows the original railroad grade of the Western and Atlantic Railroad
Description:
Goes to the tops of two mountains separated by a railroad pass of the Western and Atlantic Railroad with a view of the site of the last Civil War battle in the Atlanta area. Follows the shoreline of Lake Allatoona and Civil War entrenchments can be seen on the ridges.
This is a good family hike near Atlanta.

I-75 North to exit 283 (Emerson/Allatoona Road) in Bartow County. Go east on Old Allatoona Road, At .6 miles parking lot is on the left. Go to the second driveway. The parking lot is small.
