Description:
This tree lined ridgetop trail offers views across the Ohio and Little Sandy River valleys. The loop trail goes across ravines and ridges in the nature preserve’s western half.
Jesse Stuart State Nature Preserve is 714 acres located in Greenup County. The preserve was acquired through a gift-purchase arrangement with the internationally known author, Jesse Stuart. Jesse Stuart was an American writer who achieved prominence in the short story, poetry, and novels. Born and raised in Greenup County, Kentucky, Stuart relied heavily on the rural locale of Northeastern Kentucky for his writings.

From Greenup, take state hwy 1 south for 1.8 miles, turn right onto W-Hollow Road and after 1.6 miles turn right into gravel parking lot.
