Description:
Riprap Trail is noted as one of the best hikes in the southern section of the Shenandoah National Park. There are great views from Chimney Rock, and along the ridge of Rocks Mountain. The spring fed stream in Cold Spring and Riprap Hollow is very scenic.
Chimney Rock is one mile in and offers a fantasic view. Past Chimney Rock the trail descends into Cold Springs Hollow which features a nice spring fed stream and further down a nice swiming hole.
